Performance study of microplastic inhalation risk posed by wearing masks-Covid 19

Study published in Journal of Hazardous material, 2021,  looked into the risks associated with mask-wearing and the inhalation of microplastics. Bacterial and Fungal Isolation from Face Masks: Newly Emerged Hygiene Issues Under COVID-19 Pandemic

This study reports on the potential hygiene issues due to bacteria and fungi attached to the face masks in over 109 participants. Major Study finds Masks Don’t Reduce COVID-19 Infection Rates

Links to the study and article attached. A high-quality, large-scale study finds no evidence that wearing a face mask significantly minimizes people’s risk of contracting COVID-19. The RCT showed no statistically significant difference in coronavirus infection rates between mask-wearers and non-mask-wearers.
